Bampton, Claire

Claire Bampton read English at the University of London before becoming a children's book editor at Dorling Kindersley in 1991. In 1996 she moved to Bath and set up a book packaging business, Jester Books. Since 2003 she has worked as a writer and has had numerous books for children published on a variety of subjects, from ancient to natural history. Claire's favourite pastimes include eating coconut ice-cream, walking along Cornish beaches and daydreaming preferably all at the same time.
