Lal Balkaran is self-taught and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified General Accountant (CGA), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of the UK (FCMA), and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Canada (FCIS).
