Baird, Nicola

London-based author Nicola Baird has written seven published books, most on environmental topics, including Friends of the Earth's best selling Save Cash & Save the Planet (Collins, co-written, 2005) and Homemade Kids: thrifty, creative and eco-friendly ways to raise children (Vermilion, 2010). Coconut Wireless is her first novel. Nicola lived in Solomon Islands from 1990-1992 working as a VSO journalist trainer for Solomon Islands Development Trust.
