ROY BAINTON, author of "Honoured by Strangers and "The Long Patrol served in the Merchant Navy and has traveled around the world three times. He has also written extensively for newspapers and magazines and contributed to radio. A regular visitor to Russia, Bainton has collected archival material and original interviews from witnesses of the Revolution and their descendants.
