Spencer Bailey was born in the heart of coal mining country in 1967, he always wanted to be a pig farmer but became a school teacher instead. His strange obsession with owning a big red tractor will be met one day, but in the meantime he has enjoyed writing a couple of books based on the uncompromising streets of Lima, Peru. He is currently working on themes closer to home in the North of England, to where he recently returned after a quarter of a century away. He spends his time with his family, commuting infrequently between his beloved Peru and his equally beloved Yorkshire.
