Baggett owned a prosperous drugstore in Central Louisiana from 1965-1977. In 1973 he was ordained in pastoral ministry and he and his father founded a church. In 1977 he sold the pharmacy to go into full time ministry. He received his Masters and Doctorate in Theology. Several years later he resigned the ministry and completed gratuate studied in Philosophy and Education. Today is is heading Impact Ministries, serving as a professor at ULL, and is employed as a pharmacist.
