Eli M. Borden, PhD, was honored by the Governor's Commission on Higher Education by inclusion into the New Mexico Eminent Scholar program. He was also named Professor Emeritus by the New Mexico Junior College Board. In addition to coaching six collegiate speech teams to national championships, he has also received "Professor of the Year" honors six times.
