Growing up in Bankstown, Sydney, with immigrant parents, Wesam 'Westy' Ayoub's early flirtation with drugs and petty crime leads him to the seedy inner city, prison, the US, a warzone in Lebanon, and further trials and tribulations until he finds inner peace and a sense of his own agency and identity.
