The EAJ-award for illustration was launched by Emma Austin-Jones, with no external funding, in 2014 at HOW College (Bromsgrove Campus). To assist Art Students who wished to become published illustrators. To allow an opportunity for those with a creative talent, to compete for a worthwhile award which did not rely upon 'standard' academic achievements. The Lilac Story is illustrated by DANNY PHILLIPS winner of the 2014 EA-J Award for Illustration event at HOW College which took place on the 12th June 2014.
