Joan Aubele was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and now resides in rural Lake Holiday, IL with her husband. They've raised three daughters, and to date, have three little grandsons. Before her diagnosis of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, Joan lived the fast track lifestyle of a corporate sales manager. Several years ago, her eldest daughter treated her to an inspirational Christian women's conference.
