Franz Pagot was born near Venice, Italy, and was educated in the classics. His celluloid addiction took him to Milan, where he worked on all kinds of jobs to support his habit - filming advertisements, animations and the odd documentary, eventually beginning to experiment with stereo photography. In 1989 he moved to London, ultimately establishing himself as a cinematographer in feature films and TV commercials. He is a BAFTA member and has won many international awards. He lives in London.
