Asimomitis, Giorgos

Giorgos Asimomitis was born in the United States to Greek parents; his father was originally from Mykonos and his mother from Syros; both Cycladic islands. He studied literature, sculpture, and physics, held jobs from dishwasher to long-haul truck driver to welding machine repair man, and he pursued occupations from hotelier to sculptor to university professor. He has lived in Germany, France, England and especially Greece where he settled permanently in 2000.
