Melva Archer-Persico is a Guyanese-born academic who currently resides in the United States. Her love of books and reading began in childhood. It is this love that led her to a career, teaching Spanish language and Hispanic literature. She has published a textbook for students preparing for the literary analysis section of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) and articles on Afro-Hispanic and Latin American literature in peer-reviewed academic publications.
