Gunther Anders (1902 to 1992) was a Jewish philosopher and cultural and media theorist. He is regarded as one of the most important thinkers of the 20th century in the German speaking world. He studied with Ernst Cassirer, Martin Heidegger and Edmund Husserl and was married to Hannah Arendt. He is best known for his critique of technology.
