Baltimore-based poet/author Cherrie Amour writes about love, life and relationships. In her first book of poetry, Free to Be Me, Poems on Love, Life and Relationships, Amour explores her intimate journey of trials and triumphs from childhood to adulthood. (her poem, "Hermoso Negro" won a 2013 Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award and is featured in the 2014 Paterson Literary Review). Amour also has two poetry CDs "Love's Journey" and "ilovemesomewords." Born in the Caribbean and raised in Canada, Amour's eclectic background serves as a strong influence in both her performances and her writing.
