Amero, Richard W.

One of San Diego's pre-eminent historians, Richard W. Amero was born in Massachusetts and educated in North Carolina and New York. He adopted San Diego as his home and became dedicated to Balboa Park history, writing for the Journal of San Diego History. The voluminous Richard Amero Collection is a prized feature of the San Diego History Center.
