As a child, Opal Allen loved reading books so much that several of her teachers loaned her classroom books to read. That's when she began reading novels such as Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice. Opal has written and published poems and other types of works, but she has always wanted to write stories for children. And, in September, 2014, she published her first children's book entitled, Lenny the Lizard, which is the first book of the Bubby Series.
