Allen, David E.

Allen studied archaeology and anthropology at Cambridge, later receiving his doctorate there in the history and philosophy of science. A past president of the Botanical Society of the British Isles and of the Society for the History of Natural History, he is a scientific associate of London's Natural History Museum.
