Nigel Ali was born and raised in Baltimore City. At an early age, Nigel Ali found a passion for writing. He was first introduced to the art of expression through poetry which later turned into hip-hop music and then matured into novels. Like many fatherless children in Baltimore City, Nigel Ali was forced to become a man at an early age and he had a front row seat to the dark side of Baltimore City.
