Aricka Alexander (Born April 4th, 1996) started to become interested in books at the young age of 9 when her 4th grade class had to read "The Cay" by Theodore Taylor and "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry" by Mildred Taylor in 5th grade. Her love of books only increased when she entered middle school. She began to check out multiple books at a time from the local public library around the corner from her house.
