Distracted Masses is a character from the future manifested through the collective consciousness of those reading George Orwell's Nineteen-Eighty-Four. Neither male nor female, the fictional Distracted Masses character is an androgynous representation of those distracted people who have become mentally numb to the reality of the day. He/she/it/they is/are an individual(s) acting as an organization, a corporation, and unaffiliated groups of both the dead and undead. They are the future potential outcomes of the Citizen's United ruling which gives corporations the same rights as, and often even
