Albin graduated from the University of Baltimore with a BS in Marketing. He began owning a store with his father. He operated stores throughout Maryland under the name of Lee's Surplus. In 1968 he changed to outdoor focusing and renamed his stores Lee's Outdoor. Later changing again to Lee's Sports. By 1986 he had built 17 stores in Maryland, the largest chain of sports goods in Maryland. He sold out to a national chain. He was then elected to serve 8 years in the Maryland House of Delegates. He began a new career as a licensed realtor specializing in the commercial field.
