Alan, Matthew

Matthew Alan grew up in Canton, Ohio and, like Karl and Sonya, he had a typical childhood of family, friends, school, swimming and camping. After graduating from Kenyon College, and earning a masters degree from Western Illinois, he began a career in teaching and coaching at the university level. During that time, he started writing short stories, a coming-out memoir, and novels, after realizing the impact reading novels has had in his own life.
