Wayne Diehl was born in Philadelphia and moved west to Los Angeles in 1959, when he was nine years old. He now lives and writes in Pine Mountain Club, California, a small community north of Los Angeles surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest. He has three grown children and, at the time of this writing, two grandchildren, Owen and Layla Rae. His first book, "The Boy With No Name" was dedicated to Owen. "The Midnight Ride of Missy Montaigne" is for Miss Layla Rae.
