Sylviane Agacinski teaches at the cole des Hautes tudes in Paris, and has written extensively on philosophy, architecture, and other topics. She is the wife of the current Prime Minister of France, Lionel Jospin. Her books include "Apart: Conceptions and Death of Sren Kierkegaard," translated into English in 1988. In recent years, she has played a pivotal role in the feminist "parit" movement that has swept France.
