Born and bred in the New York City area, Joe Abbate moved to Central New York in the 1970's to attend college at SUNY Oswego. It was there where he met his future wife. They were married shortly after graduation and have lived here ever since. A stay-at-home father for 18 years, Joe now works as a freelance web and graphic designer and writer.
