Neo Ntsoma has won many prestigious awards including the CNN African Journalist Award (Photography), of which she was the first woman recipient. Her work has been published in international publications and her photo-project, South African Youth ID--Kwaito Culture' appeared in Moving in Time, an anthology of work from fifty South African photographers in celebration of ten years of democracy.
