This study aimed to investigate the aquatic and terrestrial bird species inhabiting the Chharidhandh wetland in Kachchh district, Gujarat. The research yielded significant findings, shedding light on the avifauna in the region. 125 bird species from 49 families were documented, making up an impressive 21.47% of Gujarat's officially recorded 582 bird species. Among the recorded species, 106 were classified as Least Concern, 10 as Near Threatened, 4 as Vulnerable, and 1 as Endangered according to the IUCN Red List category. In conclusion, the study provides valuable insights into the diverse avian population of Chharidhandh, underscoring the critical importance of preserving and conserving this wetland and its unique habitat for the benefit of numerous bird species.
