About the Author
Joel is an elementary school teacher in Oregon and owns the educational business Glen's Hands-On Gizmos with his wife Roxanna. Recently Joel and Roxanna and have been writing and illustrating children's books. It is their hope to release several new books each year. The books themselves are entertaining and they serve a deeper purpose.
Some will be academic in nature while others will focus on Christian and Humanitarian values such as Compassion, Empathy, Forgiveness, Peace and Love. It is their hope the books will be counter-cultural in many ways and used by teachers and parents to combat the negative messages children are receiving.
The books themselves don't end with happily ever after endings. Instead many of them end in a humorous way, while intentionally leaving children with unresolved feelings and questions. At the end of each book parents and teachers will find a list of suggested questions to help facilitate character-building discussions.
