Tooba Akram studied German, English and Educational Science for Secondary School Education at University of Hildesheim. In the framework of her Erasmus semester, she visited Københavns Professionshøjskole in Denmark and enjoyed her stay in this open-minded country. She decided to write a book based in Denmark to honour the fact that since 2016, Denmark was one of the first countries which see trans identities not as a mental illness anymore. Now, Tooba Akram works as a Research Associate at University of Hildesheim at the Department of Applied Educational Science for doing her PhD.
