Ever asked why so many people are not good? The main character in this fictional adventure asks the same question. Seems that the present day approach to solving anxiety and frustration is "shoot it out" instead of "talk it out." In this novel the author presents a young man who decides he will give his life in a positive way to solving moral problems in his community. Instead of violence and angry confrontations he learns alternative avenues to solutions. Can one individual make any lasting difference on this planet? What is the meaning of life anyway? Evan, the main character, faces these and other life struggles to find meaning. WHAT'S SO BAD ABOUT BEING GOOD ? Well, there is at least one bad thing that may arise from being good. Evan finally comes to realize the answer to the title question and also the price of success. One chapter relates how Evan was involved in promoting a morals survey in his school. To give some credibility to this survey the author conducted a survey of his own which included four high schools. The results of those surveys are recorded at the end of the book.
