Dr. Julia Schneider ist Comic-Essayistin und Wissenschaftlerin (www.docjsnyder.net). Ihr bislang bekanntestes Werk ist der Comic-Essay über Künstliche Intelligenz, "We Need to Talk, AI", den sie 2019 in Zusammenarbeit mit der bildenden Künstlerin Lena Kadriye Ziyal veröffentlicht hat (zusätzlich in Deutsch, Spanisch und Slowenisch erhältlich). Sie ist u.a. Mitglied im wissenschaftlichen Beirat des VDEI Verband der Exoskelettindustrie e.V. und gehört zum Track-Team der digitalen Konferenz re:publica im Bereich Wissenschaft und Technik. Lena Kadriye Ziyal ist Künstlerin und Teil der Content- und Grafikdesignagentur Infotext in Berlin (infotext-berlin.de). Sie kreiert Designkonzepte, Infografiken, Icons und Illustrationen. Lena studierte Grafik und Visuelle Kommunikation an der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, der Universität der Künste in Berlin und an der Marmara Universität Istanbul. Zuvor absolvierte sie eine Ausbildung im Bereich Illustration und Zeichnung im Studio Mustafa Yildirim in Istanbul. Ihre Ausbildung schloss sie mit einer Weiterbildung in Illustration und Grafikdesign im Atelier Saeed Ensafi (Teheran, Iran) ab. Im Jahr 2008 schrieb sie ihren ersten grafischen Roman "Graustufen".
