Each of us has walked through the fields or woods on a sunny day. As we admired the beauty on our nature tour we stepped over or around anthills that were on or near the trail, with little thought of them, except to be sure to avoid these mighty hordes as they rushed about their appointed tasks.
Ants possess an elaborate and highly organized social structure based on divisions of labor and collective responsibility. Although each individual ant has very limited scope, the colony as a whole displays a remarkable level of purpose and intelligence. The construction of the colony's home involves extensive engineering projects. No individual ant carries a mental concept of the grand design. Each ant is simply an automaton (a purely mechanical item) to execute a simple set of operations. an efficient organization appears.
Imagine space travelers passing Earth. As Earth rotates on its axis, they notice that is consists of four distinct areas-a globe with four large patches of color: red, blue, green and yellow. As they look closer, they notice that the red covers North africa, Arabia, West and Central South Asia, and the islands of Southeast Asia.. The blue covers India and the green covers China and the Far East. Yellow covers Europe, Australia, north America and South America. The significance of these four colors, or "anthills," is religion. The red would be Islam; the blue would be Hinduism; the green would be Buddhism; and the yellow would be Christian. The answer to why each of us is practicing a particular religion can be directly related to which above geographical colors you were BORN-of which ant colony are you a member! The space travelers checked the logbook and noted anentry that had been made almost twenty-five hundred years ago by earlier space travelers as they had made a similar exploratory inspection of this planet. Continuing the example of the astronaut using special relativity, only two hundred and fifty years would have passed for the space travelers during this time as they zipped through space. It was noted that the same four colors had been detected. There was a difference in the areas that two of the colors covered. The yellow only covered an area called Greece and the red only covered an area called Egypt. The notes stated that the red denoted an area worshipping deities known only to them and that the yellow included a multitude of gods and giants that were well publicized. The colors of blue and green were almost the same in that period as they are today. There were the basic divisions of the major religions of the times. We must modify our statement on which religion one practices-the choice is decided on WHERE and WHEN you were born!
