Unfortunately, humanity destroys the Earth onceagain, but Miller ends with two beacons of hope: astarship headed for the unknown to help humanitybegin again and the preternaturally innocent Rachelwho portends a future for similarly innocent humanbeings repopulating the Earth. Thus, faithultimately triumphs over atheism even in the midst ofalmost total catastrophe.

College Department of Humanities. She has a BA in English and a
BA in Religious Studies, an MA in Philosophy and an MA in English
from Georgia State University. She is currently working towards
an MA in Religion at UGA. She lives in Georgia with her husband
and three children.
