The crop sector situation in Pakistan has been studied pinpointing state interventions in market regime before advent of WTO Regime and subsequently reducing state interventions and welfare impact on producers and consumers. It has been shown through empirical evidence that trade liberalization could result in net social welfare gain of a society.
