Nowadays, the incidence of statistics applied to the development of research is widely recognized. It is increasingly used in the collection and analysis of data referring to the largest possible sets, where variability and uncertainty stand out. As a consequence, the Excel book (EsComDE) was elaborated in order to use it to arrive at valid conclusions that allow making the right decisions. The manual presented here is to implement this Excel workbook and is of interest to contribute to a better application of the scale of the Educational Leadership Competence. It was elaborated as part of the introduction and generalization of the results of the project "Competence in Educational Management", which is being developed at the University of Las Tunas. This resource was developed to help managers and researchers to successfully address this issue from this new scale. It is hoped that the work with this Excel book will contribute to a better understanding in the application of this scale in educational institutions.
