Dr. John Cahill , MD, a specialist in tropical medicine and international health, currently works as an assistant professor in community health at Brown Medical School in Providence, RI, and as a lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons, Department of International Health and Tropical Medicine, Ireland. He is an attending physician in the Rhode Island Hospital's Department of Emergency Medicine in Providence and at The Miriam Hospital's Department of Infectious Diseases, also in Providence. A consultant to the United Nations, Dr. Cahill volunteers to provide medical expertise in remote regions of Africa and has served as physician and advisor to medical institutions in Ireland, Iceland, Kenya, Thailand, India, Costa Rica and Argentina. Dr. Cahill is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, USA.
