Islamism in Morocco encompasses a large spectrum of trends that differ greatly in their ideological tenets and the extent of their ambitions. The Jama'a Al Adl Wal Ihsan (Justice and Spirituality Group) forged a different path through its uncompromising and challenging patterns of activism. At the crossroads of a congested geopolitical environment, the group advocates an intricate ideology that espouses Sufism and political Islam along with an uncensored exposure to competing ideologies in the West. The aim of this study is to disclose the JSG's ideology as regards the ideal model of governance in the Muslim state based primarily on discourse and through subsequent correlations with the Moroccan political context. The book proposes a conscientious analysis of the discourse articulated by the leading figures of Jama'at Al Adl Wal Ihsan using the linguistic tools availed by Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and guided by the concepts of Post-structural discourse theory. The proposed analysis will enable academics in the fields of political science, Islamism, and discourse analysis to come to grips with the Jama'a's vision on the so called ideal Islamic state .
