THE HISTORIES OF MAJOR COMMANDS AND SEPARATE OPERATING AGENCIES WERE REVIEWED AND REVISED BY THE HISTORICAL STUDIES BRANCH OF THE USAF HISTORICAL DIVISION. THE LINEAGE OF EACH UNIT HAS BEEN DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AFP 210-1-4. IN ADDITION, THE REVISION INCLUDES INFORMATION ON THE STATUS (MAJOR COMMAND, ETC.), OF THE VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS. THE FY 1967 CHRONOLOGY OF UNITED STATES AIR FORCE MAJOR EVENTS WAS PREPARED BY THE USAF HISTORICAL DIVISION LIAISON OFFICE (AFCHO) FROM INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE MAJOR AIR COMMANDS AND SEPARATE OPERATING AGENCIES AND FROM SOURCES AVAILABLE IN AFCHO. LEADERS OF THE USAF, WAS REVISED TO INCLUDE ONLY THOSE HOLDING OFFICE DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR. IT CONTAINS THE NAMES AND TENURE OF THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE AND EXECUTIVES AND COMMANDERS OF THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE DURING FY 1967.
