The physical impact of war has received much attention, but less attention has been paid to the mental impact of war and violence on the survivors - those who have lost parent and relatives, friends, home and livelihood, who has suffered rape, torture or the treat of death. Such experiences can leave many individuals with psychological problems and unable to cope with the demands of daily life. This manual describes the activities and exercises of an advanced training workshop in Trauma Consciousness and Resilience (TCR), which aims to enable participants to support those who has suffered trauma, through the healing process. Experimental methods used allow participants to reflect and share their own experience, so that they can learn from it and from the experience of others. This manual is the third of a series, comprising TCR Basic Training Manual, FaR Workshop Manual and TCR Advanced Training Manual. It is essential that participants have already attended a basic TCR workshop before attending this advanced workshop, as the basic one will allow them to heal from some of their own traumas, making it far easier for them to deal with the issues and traumas of others.
