Transversal Enterprises in the Drama of Shakespeare and his Contemporaries further develops the pioneering critical theory, methodology and aesthetics of "transversal poetics" as it progresses beyond both traditional parameters for analysis of early modern English literature and culture and recent trends in literary, theater, and performance studies to offer new readings of plays by Shakespeare, Peele, Jonson, Marlowe, Middleton, Dekker, Rowley, Webster, and Greene.
