The concept of quality management originated in Japan and later moved into the USA and other countries. The theory of quality management has been growing rapidly and important for all service sectors. Libraries adopt management techniques to give their best in the form of services and products to its users. But, it is very difficult to give best products and services. There is no universally acceptable tools and techniques to measure and improve the quality of products and services in libraries. TQM is one of such technique used for the improvement and maintenance of quality or performance of the libraries.
