Kai Althoetmar, born 1968 in Cologne, graduated from the Cologne School of Journalism and Cologne University and has been working as a freelance author specialising in wildlife since 1997. He is a contributor to magazines and newspapers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Kai Althoetmar lives in a little village near Bad Münstereifel, Germany.
