To Walk His Way is a young adult, Christian fiction novella about a teenage runaway from Alabama. Jamie doesn't get along with her mother and decides life would be better without her mom. In the big city of Atlanta, life is cruel; and, before she knows it, she is in too deep with dangerous work she never wanted in the first place. The South Street Church for the Lord lends Jamie refuge; but, Jamie doesn't feel worthy of God's love. She doesn't feel worthy of anyone's love because of all the things she's done. She feels like she's dirty and an embarrassment to anyone who is seen with her in their company. She feels like she is carrying a sign stating all the bad deeds she's done; and, she wonders if her slate will ever be wiped clean. Jamie's mother, Rachael, has been searching for Jamie. Everyone she meets tells her she should give God another chance; but, all Rachael can think about is the past and the pain she endured from being turned away by the very people proclaiming to be good Christians. A casts of characters, including a cat and a Vietnam Veteran, help Jamie and Rachael. They encounter hypocrites and bullies, as well as kind-hearted people willing to expose their own tarnished pasts in order to help another person. How will Jamie ever get out of her bad situation and turn to God for the help she so desperately needs? Will Rachael finally accept God back into her life so she can mend the bond between she and Jamie. Will they both choose to walk His way and not their own?
