This study was conducted in the Department of Pharmacology, in collaboration with Department of Cardiology, Dr. S. N. Medical College and attached group of hospitals, respectively for around 12 months. This study was prospective, cross-sectional, observational type including patients diagnosed with Acute MI, attending IPD (CCU) of Cardiology department, Dr. S. N. Medical College, Jodhpur, Rajasthan (India). Total one hundred one patients (irrespective of sex, religion, and different socioeconomic status) diagnosed with Acute MI were included in this study. Patients with hypertensive emergency and cerebral stroke were excluded. Patients with concomitant acute medical conditions eg. CHF with Edema, Renal Failure, Hepatic Failure, Patients of pregnancy-induced hypertensionwere also excluded from this study. Data were collected from Case Record Form. It included patient's name, age, sex, demographical details, social habits, chief complaints, history of illness, severity, the details of the drugs prescribed (dose, route, frequency), and suspected ADRs. The all relevant details of the drugs prescribed and related ADRs were analyzed.
