Expedition Leader Mike Harris is an accomplished writer, explorer and film producer who has led a number of major expeditions throughout the world, including the first expeditions to search for the Titanic in the North Atlantic. On Mike's first expedition in 1971 he led a group of professional divers and film makers to Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands where they dove on American, German and Japanese warships that were sunk by atom bomb testing after WWII. Mike produced a film of his first adventure called "Deadly Fathoms" which featured Rod Serling and won a Silver Medal at the Atlanta International Film Festival. On Mike's second expedition he led a group of mountain climbers and Biblical Scholars up the slopes of Mt. Ararat in Turkey to search for Noah's Ark. His film "Expedition to Noah's Ark" featured acclaimed actor Joseph Cotten as his on-camera host and narrator. Mike's third adventure film took him to the mountains of Old Mexico where he searched for buried treasure. His film "Pancho Villa's Treasure" featured film and television star Cesar Romero as his on-camera host and narrator. In 1980 Mike then led the first expedition to search for the Titanic in the North Atlantic. His film "Search for the Titanic" featured legendary actor Orson Wells as his on-camera host and narrator. Mr. Wells said it was an honor for him to work on such an important film. Mike's second Titanic film in 1981 featured James 'The Virginian' Drury, who actually joined Mike at sea during his second Titanic adventure. Mike has also filmed eye-witnesses in the Marshall Islands and on Saipan who claim the famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan didn't just crash into the ocean and disappear as history tells us They told Mike on camera that Amelia and Fred actually crashed their Lockheed Electra off Mili Atoll in the Marshall Islands, were captured by the Japanese, then taken to Saipan in the Marianna Islands where they were put into prison and eventually killed. Mike's many projects have taken him from Guyana to the Arctic Circle, Greenland to Israel and have included multiple studies of the Chinese Admiral Zheng He and the incredible fleet of Ming Treasure Ships he commanded on seven expeditions sixty years before Columbus discovered America. Harris is a member of The Explorers Club of New York, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in London and has been listed in Who's Who in American since 2000.
