Despite their previous publication in different journals, we have decided to gather them in this project in order to present different perspectives of this theme in a single document. The criterion for the selection made for this book were based on the differences in terms of the underlying issues as well as the different methodological approaches.

Fábio Albuquerque has a PhD Degree in Economic and Business Sciences. He is an associate professor with a large experience in undergraduate and post-graduate programs in Accounting. He is also author of several papers and books covering different topics in this area, including the influence of the culture and professional judgement on accounting.
