This book deals with thermal effects of peristaltic transport of non-Newtonian fluids in peripheral layer. Peristalsis is mechanism by which fluid is transported through a distensible tube when contraction or expansion waves propagate progressively along its length. Addition of nanoparticles facilitates the heat transfer phenomena by enhancing the thermal conductivity of low thermal conductivity fluids. The main objective of the book is to analyze thermal effects of peristaltic transport of non-Newtonian fluids in two layered models. In order to study the fluid flow pattern, long wavelength and low Reynolds number approximations have been employed. The main characteristics of the flow are discussed in detail.
