This study was considered bsed on clinico- pharmacological study on adverse effect of steroids in dermatology patients in Rmmch multi specialty hospital in chidambaram. Mainly this study included with 100 patients with skin disease for period of 6 months from 2004 to Jan 2005.In this study 50 patients were receiving topical steroids and they were named as group A.The other group was receiving systemic (oral steroids)labelled as group B.All this study group were selected random basis and irrespective of the diagnosis,the duration of treatment and mode of action of the drug were analyse and the result were interpreted under various categories .Among 100 cases 51 were males and 49 were females .All adverse effects which were observed in the study group matched on the basis of age ,sex,duration of treatment of both topical as well as systemic steroids were compared.Both male and female were taken in equal proportion .However the result of this study it shows that more side effects found in systemic treatment when compared with topicals
