This book addresses the use of newspaper archives in school libraries. It aims to analyse newspaper archives as a research tool in school libraries from the perspective of professional librarians. It uses a qualitative and quantitative research method, applying a web questionnaire to professionals from the 'Bibliotecários Escolares do Brasil' (School Librarians of Brazil) group on Facebook. The results show that, in general, newspaper archives in school libraries are an important research tool, as they preserve the historical and documentary value of information. It identifies that newspaper archives in printed format are the most widely used in school libraries. It concludes that for the school community, it is a research tool that provides agility in the search for information, as it is a tool designed to gather specific content from newspapers and magazines.
